Team Tomato uses propaganda style to highlight how researchers are trying to understand how the fungus Fusarium oxysporum infects and destroys tomato plants in order to create fungus resistant plants.

Jamie is a biologist whose works aims to understand how the fungus Fusarium oxysporum infects tomato plants. The fungus causes a devastating wilt internally within the plant and has been known to be able to wipe out entire crops. By understanding the genetic interactions between the tomato plant and the fungus it is hoped that researchers can create tomato plants that are resistant to the fungus.

Harriet related to the concept of resistance and developed a propaganda resistance army, whereby “Together, we can save the tomato”.
